Foxford, Co Mayo – Constituency, the worlds first Constituency Platform, will run a ten day pre launch in Foxford to gather feedback from local people before a national roll out. The trial invites Foxford residents to create private or public cases with their representatives and follow clear progress from acknowledgement to outcome. Citizens use the platform free of charge.
How the pre launch works
Visit constituency.ie and click Sign Up. Create your account, choose private or public, and submit your case. All communication and updates remain inside the platform to preserve a complete record. Private cases are confidential between you and the representatives office. Public cases help create community awareness and can include an online petition so supporters can demonstrate support for the case. Only public cases are reviewed by a human before publication. Personal details do not appear on public pages.
Standards and security
Constituency is hosted in Ireland on Amazon Web Services. Processing is aligned with GDPR. Two factor authentication and encryption are in place. The company has begun its ISO 27001 programme and continues to add controls as the platform grows.

Councillor Neil Cruise said that a single place for cases allows him to acknowledge within eighteen to twenty four hours and to keep a clear timeline of progress for residents.

The pre launch is for Foxford residents only and will run for ten days. The aim is to gain practical insight, refine the experience, and prepare for a national launch.
